Announcing the launch of
Stewardship & Volunteer Activation Program

Do want to contribute to SEEDS movement growth and expansion and don't know how?

To accomplish more as a community, SEEDS Commons recently passed the proposal for the launch of the  “Stewardship & Volunteer Activation program” by StarDHO. It aims to design and hold a stewardship program where volunteers can bring their talents to contribute to the SEEDS ecosystem expansion and growth. Here are the overarching goals:
  • Identify open tasks (quests) and match them with volunteers, based on the community prioritization needs;
  • Equip volunteers with the necessary training, resources, and information to contribute;
  • Hold weekly meetings to create a community of change makers who are eager to contribute within SEEDS movement.
If you’d like to volunteer, please visit our co-creation space, pick a quest, and fill out our volunteer application form under 'Get Involved'. We invite you to join us for the Volunteer Activation Meeting on Mondays at 19:00 CET, August 29th will be our first gathering. Most welcome to join at this zoom link.

GET TO KNOW THE REGEN CIVICS ALLIANCE PROJECT

Finca Sagrada in Ecuador

One, out of thirteen projects that are integrating REGEN CIVICS Alliance, Season 1, Finca Sagrada is a biodynamic farm community nestled in an isolated sacred valley in Vilcabamba, Ecuador. A sacred land of 277 hectares including 9 hectares of good irrigated farmland, mountains, river, streams, orchards, forests, pastures, and gardens.

Finca Sagrada has been a believer and truthful SEEDS Alliance partner since very early in the movement. On their website, it is stated "we were awarded an Alliance grant for 700,000 Seeds. It is expected that within two years the tokens will be worth $1 each. With this grant, we will be able to put Finca Sagrada into our KINSHIP Earth non-profit, build a small retreat center and help restore our precious watershed area." In total, nearly 3 million seeds were granted to the Vilcabamba bioregion.

Want to create a DAO?
Activate your Hypha DAO

As Hypha is progressing with the Alpha program, they have launched the "DAO Activation" - a custom onboarding process that helps teams to answer the very basic questions around why use a DAO, how to use the DAO and what the potential outcomes and impact will be.

At the end of the process, DAO founders should be comfortable to invite the first wave of participants into their DAO and begin creating the first set of proposals. The DAO Activation process is using a 3-step approach, beginning with a Readiness Assessment, followed by a DAO OS (Operating System) Canvas model and culminating with a checklist to get the DAO ready for the others to join - click the button below to access information on the DAO Activation.

 If you are part of the Alpha participants list, please reach out to Hypha to schedule an activation session. Otherwise you can sign up on the website hypha.earth for the Beta program launching later this year!

Seeds Tokenomics Working Group

Seeds 2.0 is brewing

For the last twelve months, a dedicated working group has been studying, reflecting, and exploring the flaws and traps of Seeds cryptocurrency 1.0. The economic design has matured into a multi-layered currency that builds on local currencies focused on regeneration. If you are interested to understand it deeper, click on Seeds Tokenomics 2.0 White Paper.

The issues now being discussed are to figure out what is the optimal implementation strategy and plan and how to integrate Seeds 1.0
legacy coins into the rollout of the new SEEDS 2.0 coins.

Timing is urgent as the consensus is that this needs to be implemented by the end of the year. The invitation is open to anyone in the Seeds ecosystem to join the Currency 2.0 Working Group
on Thursdays' calls, 17:30 CET,  Zoom link.

This month our book reading recommendation go to:

A Farmer's Love

by Walter Moora
A Farmer's Love explains how nutrition in the food we eat comes directly from nutrition in the soil in which the plants grow. The book also explains ways Walter Moora learned to work with the soil to make it nutrient-rich without the use of synthetic chemicals. It chronicles Walter's experience of learning both the physical and spiritual aspects of creating a whole, healthy farm ecosystem.
